Player ratings of the season so far (Left Back)

I hope you are enjoying the series so far. We now turn our attentions to the left-backs. There is only two of them so it should not take too long Danny Rose Not long signed for Newcastle on loan from Tottenham, there has been a handful of games where he has been really good. But there is a lot of match fitness still to make up for. A couple of wayward passes and caught out of position a few times; there is definitely a few things he can improve upon. He will be looking for a team next season especially with the European Championships being out of the question. Would you take him back? I would not. I would persevere with Paul Dummett and take Jetro Willems back on loan for the left-backs next season. That being said, there is more to come from Danny, but very inconsistent so far. Best moment: "Danny Rose, he loves fish and chips" Rating: 4/10 Jetro Willems I love this lad. I knew from the friendly against St Etienne that we had a cracking player on our hands. I know he failed to get off to the best of starts with his error against Arsenal but man has been unreal since. He scored to give us the lead at the home of the European champions. He has put in excellent displays at left back and his goal against Man City was well-taken. He has been so consistent, well rounded and has been a joy in our team. I do like Paul Dummett but I think Jetro is the best in this position I have seen since Jose Enrique, which is a big compliment indeed. He loves it here. I want him signed next year and he will be stronger than ever next season. Best moment: that goal at Anfield. The absolute carnage that caused in the away end! Rating: 9/10 That's the two left backs summed up. Come back to the website on Wednesday 1st April as I start summarising the midfielders.
