Head to head: Away v Crystal Palace

Selhurst Park is one of the longer away trips Newcastle fans have to make this season. Picture courtesy of football.london.

The reverse fixture at St. James' Park earlier in the season saw Miguel Almiron open his goalscoring account for Newcastle just before Christmas.

Crystal Palace are not in the best of form at the moment however, from a Newcastle perspective, the biggest question is whether they can score a goal. Judging by those factors, a boring goalless draw could well be on the cards, a potential repeat of this fixture last season.

Selhurst Park has not been a happy place for Newcastle to visit in recent years, having not won there since September 2014 in the League Cup when a certain Emmanuel Riviere scored twice to help Newcastle to an extra time win. That night, Dwight Gayle got on the scoresheet for Palace.
