Head to Head records: Home v Watford

Javi Gracia could face losing his job should Newcastle take the three points on Saturday.

The Premier League's bottom two sides go head to head at St. James' Park on Saturday as Steve Bruce will aim for his first win at St. James' Park as Newcastle manager.

Watford's poor finish to the end of last season appears to have continued into the new season as they are the only team in the league yet to register a single point. Considering the Watford board are no strangers to the sacking culture in modern day football, Javi Gracia could well be fearing for his job. Despite Watford's poor finish to last season, their 11th place finish in the Premier League was their best placing in the top flight since 1987.

As for Newcastle, several injury doubts appear to be the main concern going into Saturday's game including Matt Ritchie who fell victim to a Hamza Choudury horror tackle in midweek in the EFL Cup defeat on penalties to Leicester.

Prior to Watford's promotion to the Premier League in 2015, the Hornets were constantly stung on their visits top St. James' Park and the Magpies will be looking to recapture those days when Watford feared coming to Tyneside.
