"We had a good result against Stoke away which is always a tough place to go. The results have picked up of late but I think our performances have always been there or thereabouts but it’s about turning those performances into results. You would take a scrappy 1-0 rather than playing well and not getting anything. The main thing is about getting results.
"We started the game very well, we dominated possession and we felt in control of the game. We should have been three or four up at half-time, to be honest, but we obviously got the goal. In the last 15-20 minutes they were pumping long balls up into the box and they had Peter Crouch on the pitch which is always hard to deal with. But I felt like we dealt with it, we stopped the ball at source and I thought it was a hard-fought win.
"Those games are potential banana skins and that is always in the back of your mind. It would have been embarrassing if we didn’t go out there and beat Luton - no disrespect to them, I know they are doing well in League Two. It was about being professional and getting the job done. It was nice to get a goal and it was about time I did really. I hadn’t scored since last season and I have probably had chances as well this season."
